Navigate at Roskilde Festival 2015

FabLab RUC and the illutron crew collaborated to make the entrance markers at Roskilde Festival 2015 interactive. Festival visitors could change the colours of the markers' LED lights directly from their smartphones by visiting rf.illutron.dk.

The project was part of FabLab RUC's broader exploration of the Internet of Things (IoT), experimenting with ways to connect physical installations with digital interactions.

The installation used the Electric Imp platform to generate DMX signals controlling the lights. The technical foundation was developed by illutron crew member Christian Liljedahl.

The physical entrance markers were created by VÆRKSTEDET, Christopher Nielsen, Christian Overgaard, and Roskilde Festival volunteers.
