The fantastic fire cannon will blast off several times during KulturSYDhavn.

The Fire Cannon, constructed for Copenhell music festival and now residing at the illutron barge, is a project created by our resident rocket engineer and our electronics genius. The Fire Cannon will be used for a number of events and is available for rental for events.

For KulturSYDhavn festival, 6-8 August we do realize the Fire Cannon is quite loud and have received many cheers and encouragement as well as some complaints. Because we would love for everyone to enjoy the show, we will move the Fire Cannon out into the harbor to try and reduce the impact of sound waves on the surrounding buildings. We are also always firing at our lower settings, and only use higher settings (more impact) for festivals such as Copenhell.

Below is a schedule of firings:

6. august – 1600, possibly 1800
7. august – 1200, 2000
8. august – 1200, 2000

21. august – havnefest (outside of the Sluseholmen/Teglholmen area)

Note: After KulturSYDhavn and havnefest, we probably won’t fire the cannon for quite some time!

It will be reserved for very special occasions, community events or festivals and occasionally will be fired as a demonstration in case someone is interested in using it for their festival. We will always inform the surrounding area first, and will do our best to make sure it is a good experience for everyone!
