To prepare for all the upcoming summer activities we're having a weekend BBQ Saturday and Sunday - where everyone is welcome to come and help us get ship-shape. We'll be working on three vessels, the Kraka submarine, the Barge and our orange platform and we'd love to meet you!

On May 16 and 17 we will be preparing the Kraka submarine and our orange platform for the summer; we’ll be having a bbq and working on the submarine and would love to see some people come out for the first event of the year with Illutron and Live Art Installations.

We’ll spend Saturday and Sunday, a few hours each day working on the submarine, and getting to know all the new people (that’s you!). This will be a great opportunity to come meet Illutron and Live Art Installations at the barge in Sydhavn and spend some time in the sun doing hands-on work together to get the submarine in shape!

Bring your enthusiasm, your friends and a pair of gloves and get ready for some great time in the sun! We’ll provide the bbq, and will introduce you to all the cool projects we’re doing this summer including: Brandt’s in Odense – a robot festival, workshops in tangible computing, robotics, sound and light, and the possibility of doing festivals such as Skanderborg festival or Roskilde and the Summer Tour by Live Arts Installation, spanning three cities!

We’ll show you our latest projects including the Nautilus, a huge submarine, the rocket project, where we’re working on sending a person into the atmosphere, our one ton ABB industrial robots, and many more in-progress projects.

This will also be a great opportunity to get involved with Illutron and become one of our artists, geeks, dancers, or ship crew, we’d love to hear your ideas for projects and welcome you to join us.

We’ll get started at 1300 on Saturday, May 16 and go until we’re ready to sit and relax, and the same on Sunday, May 17.
