New settings, more innovation, a new ship, new people and a new organization call for a new name.The art project Half Machine ends.

The well known and acclaimed annual event Half Machine is no more. The artists behind the art project Half Machine move on to two new projects:

The magic now continues all year round in the form of the artists collective Illutron, risen from the ashes like the Phoenix reborn. The group crystallized from Half Machine consists for the most part of members of Half Machine – plus lots of new and interesting artists, thinkers, rocket scientists and submariners. With a new democratic structure and openness we grow and welcome even more creative talent.

The name Illutron tells a story. Illustrating illusions, illuding life with electronics, technology and robots. Taking the technology of yesterday and the technology of tomorrow, taking the best and most beautiful from industrial former times and future information technology and telling a story about our world – and the use and throw away culture of our society. Creating living illusions with dancers, performers, musicians, fire, water, iron, technology and robots.
