Make a Robot!

Robots can be incredibly complex or fascinatingly simple. Using recycled technology to construct functional and charming robots is the focus of this workshop, helping participants to understand the fundamentals of motion, motors and gears.

Workshop Outline:

In this workshop, participants will be guided on how to de-assemble recycled technology components and re-assemble them into a functional robot. They will work with switches, sensors and motors as well as learn the basics of electronic wiring and soldering.

Workshop Structure:

Participants will be introduced to the concepts of robotics, and will be shown inspirational examples of simple robots.

The theory of “Make art from junk” will be explained, showing participants how all materials from the workshop are recycled, and can be reused in fantastic ways.

Electronics will be introduced, including the basics of wiring, soldering, and identifying electrical components.

Participants will create a functional robot that they can bring home with them

Information & Registration:

This workshop is a two day workshop, being held from 10am to 5pm each day.

Workshop is limited to twenty participants.

Price for workshop can be quickly calculated for your group as based on number of participants and options chosen.

Lunch, technical support, use of equipment, and all materials are provided.
